Google expressed how they wanted to portrait the brilliant mind of Nobuyuki Yamaga, a traditional Japanese origami artist in a stunning visual piece.

The team at Google wanted to showcase how his unique approach to making beautiful origamis while dealing with blindness is a real inspiration to all of us.

I teamed up with the very talented people at State Design to craft an animated piece showing how pieces were animated in 3D to represent real life paper origami. With this project, I had to learn how to actually create the pieces before I could build them in 3D.

The final project helped to shine a light on the work of Nobuyuki and get many thousands of people interested in creating origami through the tutorials.
